Goals

Goal #1 - Intimacy with God, spouse, family, and friends

How? Weekly goal setting sessions as to time:

Alone with God
Talk time with spouse
Play time with children
Interactive time with other adults
(Movies & television are not counted as relational time.)

Tools for purchase to members of the Omega Force to help foster intimacy:

21-day guided journals from the Intimate Warrior book series to help foster time alone, and to provide ways to meet and interact with God's Word. We suggest spending 21 hours with each book twice a year while journaling your results and sharing your journaling with a friend.
Daily Planner/Journal
"No Regrets" glass etched desk plaque
"Trickle Charge" Verses to help recapture idle time

Goal #2 - Growing in Knowledge

How?   Reading a book a month.

Each month have your Omega Force group select a book that can be read and discussed by the group. Set a time where all who read the book can meet and discuss what they read and how it relates to the Bible, culture, church, and family. This book discussion group could include other family members who have read the book and have an interest in the discussion.
The goal here is to be like the Bereans who would take what was said and examine it in accordance with the Scriptures. These could be Christian or secular books.

Tools provided to members of the Omega Force to help foster increased knowledge:

Recommended book list on the Omega Force website (member's section).

Goal #3 - To make obeying God of greater importance than understanding Him

Regular meetings and discussions about what God’s Word is saying and how what He says should be transforming how we think and what we actually do.

Tools provided to members of the Omega Force to help foster obedience:

Small Group selections from the Omega Force website. Omega Force members download and print, or use as they desire.

Goal #4 - It is not about me; death to self

How?   Once a month service project to someone who cannot repay the kindness.

This should and can be done with families of the Omega Force members or as individuals. Each month there should be an effort to recognize those who are needy in your community and to do something to help meet those needs. This could be a most valuable tool for men to lead the way in showing the next generation what service is really about.
